Holiday Shipping Schedule for 2017

If I Order Today, When Will My Item(s) Ship?
Unless otherwise noted in the product's description, all expedited orders (Next Day, 2nd Day and 3 Day Service) that are placed before 12:00 noon Pacific Standard Time (PST) on a business day (Monday thru Friday) will ship out that same day, based on shipping method chosen, as long as all items ordered are currently in stock. Expedited orders placed after 12:00 noon PST will leave our shipping department the next available shipping day, this excludes major holidays and weekends.  Non-expedited orders (order’s placed using ground shipping) will be processed within two business days of receipt of order.


Shipping Cost:
Heritage Costumes uses published rates from all curriers, we do not add to our customers shipping cost with the addition of padded handling or processing charges. All rates are calculated on both weight and dimension of a package; this is called dimensional weight. All shipping rates used by the Major US couriers are now based on dimensional weight not actual weight.

Refused Shipments, Wrong Addresses and Failed Delivery Attempts:                                 << Return To FAQ Subjects Menu

If you refuse our shipment for any reason, your credit card will be charged for the shipping cost associated with returning the costume to us.

If there are (3) three unsuccessful delivery attempts, your credit card will be charged for the shipping cost associated with returning the costume to us, and your original shipping cost will also not be refunded. If you provide an invalid address (including an incomplete address - you must provide a business name if shipping to a business or a suite / floor number if shipping location is not a single standing building), your credit card will be charged for the cost associated with UPS making the address correction. The extra cost related to any of these three occurrences will never exceed $25.00.

If you DO wish to keep the order, then please Contact Us immediately and we will refund your original shipping costs as long as the late delivery is due to either a Heritage Costumes or Shipping Courier error.  

Where Will Heritage Costumes Ship?
We will ship orders to any* U.S. destination (including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico) or Canadian shipping address that our couriers will deliver to.

We also offer International Shipping! You can ship most of our costumes and accessories to over 40 different countries around the world!

Contact us directly so that we can help you choose the correct shipping options to meet your requirements. We are continuously working to expand our delivery capabilities across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.

APO/FPO Addresses - U.S. Military Bases in Foreign Countries

All APO/FPO orders will automatically ship via US Postal Service, and delivery times will be delayed. Currently UPS and FedEx cannot ship to APO and FPO addresses. Consequently, HeritageCostumes.com does not make any delivery time guarantee.

The delivery time to APO/FPO addresses varies dramatically. Sometimes delivery can take weeks.

U.S. Territories
Please Note: Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands addresses are not considered international addresses. If you are planning to ship to this type of address you should NOT choose International Shipping.

At this time, we are only able to ship to addresses in the same area (domestic or international) as the bill to address. Meaning: We will not Bill to a Domestic Address and Ship to an International Address (or vice versa).

Your order may be charged customs fees (taxes, duties, processing fees, brokerage fees, etc.) when it arrives. Each country sets these fees independently. We have no control over these fees. If you are not familiar with the customs fees in your country, please check with your local customs office for more information.

The shipping charges you pay to HeritageCostumes.com do NOT include customs fees, import taxes, brokerage fees, or duties. If you refuse to pay the customs fees when your order arrives, the shipment will be returned to HeritageCostumes.com and we will be charged the customs fees plus return shipping costs. Therefore, we do not issue refunds for customs fees, shipping, or the cost of your order if you refuse to pay the customs fees.

*Please do not list a Post Office Box (PO Box) as your delivery address. We will not deliver to a PO Box.

Shipping Transit Times:
That depends on where you live, time of day order was placed, and the shipping method. We are located in Torrance, California.

Transit Times are based type of customer service request.
Next Day Delivery Service
Order placed before 12:00 noon Pacific Standard Time (PST) on a business day (Monday thru Friday) will be delivered the next business day by 10:30 a.m., 12:00 noon, or end of day, depending on destination.

Order placed after 12:00 noon Pacific Standard Time (PST) on a business day (Monday thru Friday) will be delivered the 2nd business day by 10:30 a.m., 12:00 noon, or end of day, depending on destination.
Next Day Delivery Saver
Order placed before 12:00 noon Pacific Standard Time (PST) on a business day (Monday thru Friday) will be delivered the Next business day by end of day.

Order placed after 12:00 noon Pacific Standard Time (PST) on a business day (Monday thru Friday) will be delivered the 2nd business day by end of day.
2nd Day Delivery
Order placed before 12:00 noon Pacific Standard Time (PST) on a business day (Monday thru Friday) will be delivered by the end of the second business day, some locations in Alaska and Hawaii require additional transit time.

Order placed after 12:00 noon Pacific Standard Time (PST) on a business day (Monday thru Friday) will be delivered by the end of the third business day, some locations in Alaska and Hawaii require additional transit time.
3 Day Service
Order placed before 12:00 noon Pacific Standard Time (PST) on a business day (Monday thru Friday) will be delivered by the end of the third business day.

Order placed after 12:00 noon Pacific Standard Time (PST) on a business day (Monday thru Friday) will be delivered by the end of the fourth business day.
Ground Service
Order placed before 12:00 noon Pacific Standard Time (PST) on a business day (Monday thru Friday) Day-definite delivery typically in one to five business days.

Order placed after 12:00 noon Pacific Standard Time (PST) on a business day (Monday thru Friday) Day-definite delivery typically in one to six business days.

All expedited orders (Next Day, 2nd Day and 3 Day Service) that are placed before 12:00 noon Pacific Standard Time (PST) on a business day (Monday thru Friday) will ship out that same day, based on shipping method chosen, as long as all items ordered are currently in stock.

Expedited orders placed after 12:00 noon PST will leave our shipping department the next available shipping day, this excludes major holidays and weekends.

Non-expedited orders (order’s placed using ground shipping) will be processed within two business days of receipt of order. Order’s that use ground service may take up to 7 business days to be delivered (2 days processing plus 5 days' transit time).

After the processing time, the actual time that the shipping takes will be based upon the delivery option that you have selected. Please note that "Ground" shipping from the West Coast to the East Coast typically takes up to 5 business days but is not guaranteed. If you absolutely need your order to arrive by a certain date, you may want to use one of the Air shipping methods in order to guarantee your delivery.

Please be aware that if you list a Post Office Box (P.O. Box) on your Order and you are not APO/FPO your Order will be delayed as it cannot be delivered.

If you absolutely need to receive your order by a specific date, please note that in the Comments or Instructions box on the Shipping Information Page of our Checkout process. Contact us directly so that we can help you choose the correct shipping options to meet your requirements.

Business days only include weekdays, Monday through Friday. Saturday, Sunday and Holidays do not count as business days.

*** Saturday Service is available by contacting customer service before 11:00 AM the Friday before. We would be happy to provide you with the cost of this service or you can simply go to UPS.com and fill in the shipping information under transit time and cost.

For most types of small parcel services (ground and express), we offer a free money-back guarantee. If a delivery is later than the commitment time, Heritage Costumes will refund the shipping charges.

Refunds, are ONLY provided upon the shipper’s request. This is a great money-back guarantee policy for late deliveries (Service Commitment Failure). Please note we go by shipper tracking results to provide us with information in regards to any service failure.

If an order is delayed due to an inclement weather system or any other uncontrollable incident that causes substantial disruptions to the courier's service. A service failure refund will not be available.

We currently offer four different shipping options through either USPS or UPS for you to choose from: *NOTE AS A CONVENIENCE TO OUR MEN AND WOMAN OF THE MILITARY: USPS IS FOR MILITARY PERSONAL ONLY - AS OTHER CARRIERS CANNOT DELIVER TO MILITARY PERSONAL (APO-FPO). ALL ORDERS PLACED BY CUSTOMERS OTHER THAN THE MEN & WOMEN OF THE US. MILITARY WILL BE SHIPPED UPS GROUND SERVICE.   


Can I Use An Alternate Shipping Method?

Shipping Courier:
At this time UPS is our preferred courier based on several years of meeting overall performance expectations. We have based this on, on-time delivery, damages, and overall customer service. We will also ship Fed Ex. or USPS, per customer request.

We do allow customers the opportunity to use their own shipping service.

Please contact customer service to provide us with your customer account # for your preferred shipping service (Fed Ex., USPS etc.).

We will then contact the preferred shipper on your behalf to make the necessary arrangements to have the order picked up and delivered to you.

** Please note the process may take a few extra days to receive an order, as we only have daily pickups from UPS. We also do not guarantee damages or delivery times with customer supplied couriers.

Occasionally Heritage Costumes must ship your order from more than one warehouse. If this is the case for your order, you will receive an email notifying you of the multi-part shipment before your order goes out.

Heritage Costumes takes full responsibility for any extra shipping charges that are incurred during this type of scenario. You will never be billed for extra shipping charges when we ship from multiple locations.
