The eighteenth century was an age of elegance. Never in history did we see men and women so elaborately artificial, so far removed from natural appearance. What could not be done with the natural hair was made with wigs.  The wear of wigs in men started to be very popular at the end of the 17th century, but it is undeniably the 18th century that was the golden age of male wig wearing.

We followed suit in Colonial America, men's wigs were powdered with starch or Cyprus powder to make them white. While individual styles of wigs became associated with particular professionals; the vast majority of men's wigs had no specific connotations.

Experience life in the 18th century and complete your historical costume with a classic colonial style boy's wig.

Most synthetic Costume Wigs are one size. They have a built in stretch mesh netting that can fit both adults and children alike. We recommend wearing a nylon wig cap under our Costume Wigs as it helps maintain stability and placement of the wig. Depending on whether you have hair or not, this wig cap will keep the hair in place and allow for a more comfortable fit. If you don’t have hair, it will help maintain placement and enable a cooler fit.

Made of 100% synthetic hair.

Washing Instructions:
Add a dash of mild shampoo and swish gently in cold water.
Rinse thoroughly in cold water.
Do not brush when wet and drip dry.
Brush into desired style after wig is completely dry.
Do not use curling irons or curling kits.
