Store Policy

PLEASE, READ BEFORE PURCHASING FROM HERITAGE COSTUMES.

We gladly accept exchanges and cancellations. We cannot make changes to your order after it has been submitted through our website. Please contact us at contactus@heritagecostumes.com if you have any problems with your order. 

Cancellations:

To cancel your order, please email us at contactus@heritagecostumes.com within 24 HOURS OF PURCHASE OR BEFORE YOUR ITEMS HAVE BEEN SHIPPED. Once your item has been shipped, we can no longer accept your request, and your items will be subject to our exchange policy. 

Exchanges:

For most of our garments, Heritage Costumes gladly accepts exchanges. Because of the nature of these item(s), we do not accept exchanges for: 

  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Any faux hair products (wigs, wig caps, mustaches, etc.)
  • All Makeup
  • Items on sale
  • Damaged or used items

Instructions:

To exchange an item,  (1) please contact us at contactus@heritageostumes.com within 3 days of delivery. (2) Place a new order for the new item you would like. (3) Return the previous order within 7 days of the order's original delivery. Please, include the original receipt in your package and mail the item(s), at the buyer's expense, to the following address:

Once we receive the item, (4) we will credit you back, less the original shipping cost through the transaction process that was originally used, pending review of the item. We must receive the items in a new and unused condition. IF THERE ARE ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING DANDER (HUMAN, PET, ETC.), FAINT ODORS (PERFUME, BODY ODOR, ETC.), STAINS (DIRT, DEODORANT, ETC.), ETC., YOUR ITEMS WILL NOT BE EXCHANGED. 

Please allow up to 7 days after we receive your exchange for our team to process your package. IF YOUR ITEMS ARE FOUND DAMAGED OR USED, WE WILL CONTACT YOU THROUGH THE EMAIL PROVIDED TO SHIP YOUR ITEM(S) BACK. IF YOU DO NOT RESPOND WITHIN 72 HOURS, WE WILL BE DISCARDING YOUR ITEM(S).

Payment

We accept PayPal and Major Credit Cards at this time.

Shipping

We use USPS and UPS as our main carriers. Orders may take between 1-2 business days to process before shipping. We strive to ship all orders on the same day but only guarantee those shipped by Priority Express and UPS Next Day Air to have an expedited shipping period. As most of our garments are handmade here in the USA, some orders will be shipped within 4-7 business days. Our business days are M-F 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. PST, excluding federal holidays. Orders placed outside of our business hours, will not ship until the next available operating business day.

Once an item has shipped and a tracking number is provided, we cannot change your order. All shipping companies are experiencing delays, please give them an extra few days to deliver your package. Once the package has been shipped, we no longer have control over its shipping. 

Please make sure your address is correct before placing your order. If the wrong address is provided, we will not offer any cancellation, replacement, or exchange; no exceptions. Heritage Costumes is also not responsible for costs or delays in shipping due to the wrong address being provided.

All items shipped from Heritage Costumes are subject to our exchange policy. Any package returned, refused by the shipping carrier, or refused by the receiver, etc. when shipped to the address provided, will not be returned by Heritage Costumes, and the buyer is responsible for the loss.  

If an item is delivered late due to severe weather, natural disasters, and other conditions beyond the carriers' control, Heritage Costumes is not responsible for replacing your order. Please, check your area for service interruptions before placing an order. Service Alerts are posted on the carrier's website.

Or call your local Post Office and ask for the local carrier supervisor. Provide them with your tracking number to see if they can locate your package.

Shipping exceptions:

All APO/FPO orders will automatically ship via US Postal Service and delivery times will be delayed. Currently, UPS cannot ship to APO and FPO addresses. 

All orders placed with a delivery  P.O. Box will be shipped with the US Postal Service. UPS does deliver to P.O. boxes. 

HERITAGE COSTUMES DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY*. Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands addresses are not considered international addresses. If you are planning to ship to this type of address you should NOT choose International Shipping.

*We do ship to Canada. Please contact us if you are having any problems entering your shipping address. 

Returns

Heritage Costumes DOES NOT ACCEPT RETURNS.

All items shipped from Heritage Costumes are subject to our exchange policy. Any package returned, refused by the shipping carrier, or refused by the receiver, etc. when shipped to the address provided, will not be returned by Heritage Costumes, and the buyer is responsible for the loss.
